Midar Cigars Announces Grand Opening Celebration in Hagerstown: A New Standard for Luxury and LeisureHAGERSTOWN, MD — Business owners Scott Guillory and Darren Sheffield are proud to announce the Grand Opening of Midar Cigars at its new, expanded location. The celebration will take place on Friday, June 5th, at 2:00 PM at 917 Pennsylvania Ave, Hagerstown, MD.
Originally established in Downtown Frederick in 2022, the Midar Cigars team made the strategic move to Hagerstown on April 15, 2026, to acquire more space and contribute to the city’s vibrant economic growth.

Midar Cigars is more than just a retail shop; it is a premier destination designed for relaxation and connection. The facility features:
- The Humidor: A massive, custom cedar-lined humidor room housing hundreds of premium cigars.
- Luxury Lounges: An elevated atmosphere featuring high-end furniture, classy interior design, and big-screen TVs—perfect for catching the big game in comfort.
- The "Puff-N-Play" Room: An adjacent entertainment suite equipped with a golf simulator, pool table, and chess boards, offering a unique social experience.
- Event Rentals: Private rooms are available for rent, providing a sophisticated backdrop for special occasions, corporate meetings, or private parties.

The MIDAR Mission
The name MIDAR stands for "Making Individual Dreams a Reality," a philosophy established by the founders in Washington, D.C., back in 2005.
"We wanted to create a space where people can truly relax, unwind, and connect," says co-owner Scott Guillory. "Cigars are a timeless way to celebrate life’s milestones—from weddings to the birth of a child—and our new Hagerstown location gives us the space to host those moments properly."
Guests are invited to buy their cigars and enjoy them on-site in the lounge or purchase them to-go as gifts for upcoming celebrations.
