Pakuranga Dojo Kyu Grading (non-black belt).• The mid-year Dojo Kyu grading will be on Thursday 27th June 2024, the head examiner is Shihan Sennen Harry, 7th Dan.
• If your fees and registration is up to date, you can grade.
Note: one Registration form per student.
• Juniors 6:00 PM to 6:55 PM. Please be there 15 minutes before hand.
PLEASE bring your mitts!
• Student & Seniors ~6:45 PM to 7:45 PM. Please be there 15 minutes before hand.
Please note you will be in the Student & Seniors group if you either:
• Are aged 13 years and over.
• A brown belt.
• Or training regularly in the senior class. If you are not sure talk to me in the Dojo.
To help with pacing the young children (our Little Dragons in particular) we have introduced black tips to the coloured kyu obi (belt), no change to brown obi. This will allow the young children to be at a mature age to handle fully their Shodan (black belt) grading and be a good example of a black belt, and at the same time these tips still give them a sense of achievement. These tips will start from yellow and go up to purple, each colour may have up to four black tips. Skipping tips can happen depending on the junior themselves. If these young students do not go up to a new colour obi, then the $10 will be refunded.
To all our Black belts please attend that night too, your presence is highly appreciated long with your ability to help were needed.
Junior’s Grading fee only (no Obi): $25
OR
Junior’s Grading fee only with Obi (Belt):
$35
Students/Seniors Grading fee with new Obi (Belt): $45
OR
Students/Seniors Grading fee only (no Obi): $35
Note you may need a new Obi if you are NOT a brown belt. Please try to pay for the grading before the grading date, this will help a lot on the day of the grading.
Please collect the Kyu grade registration form(s) next time you are in the Dojo. ?
Once your child or children have registered get them to practice their Kata’s and warm up. While registration is taking place I’ll be instructing our senior black belts on the proceeding for the night.
If your child or children cannot attend next Tuesday’s grading please let me know ASAP by email so I can make adjustments, etc.
To all our Dan Kyu students: though this is not your grading I would like you to still do the grading, it is good practice for you actual black belt grading.
