Microsoft Office Specialist : (MOS) 2019 – Associate Course - Tutor-led.

IT Professional Training are offering you the chance to join this free (fully funded by SAAS) Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS Associate 2019 ) Course in Edinburgh. Students have the option of attending this tutor-led course at our Edinburgh training centre or as a virtual learner from home each week. You must complete admission form and SAAS application (if applicble) to join.

This part-time, tutor led course is free for people who qualify for SAAS part-time funding grant.

For SAAS funding eligibility:

1. You have to be a resident of Scotland

2. Either employed and earning less than 25k a year or can be unemployed as well

3. Have not used the SAAS funding in this Academic Year.

Induction : Thursday 26th March 2026
Start of Course/Lesson 1: Thursday 9th April 2026

Classes per week: 1

No of weeks: 16 weeks.

Class timings: 9:30am to 12:30pm.

Introduction:

The MOS Associate 2019 certification is part of Microsoft’s broader certification program, focusing on foundational Office skills in the 2019 version of Microsoft Office. The certification covers essential tasks in popular Microsoft Office applications like Word 2019, Excel 2019, and PowerPoint 2019. The exams for each product assess practical abilities, including document formatting, data analysis, presentation design, and email management. MOS certification validates proficiency in these programs and demonstrates a candidate's ability to apply their knowledge in real-world scenarios.

The Experts agreed that opportunities in IT are merely growing and more opportunities exchange into higher pay, Vendor Certifications place candidates in a better position to take benefit of them.

Prerequisites:

There is no prerequisite currently required to study this course from Microsoft.

ITPT recommend, ECDL SCQF Level 5 or 6 would be an advantage but not essential as this course will be taught from basics.

Ease of computing use is required.
