Microbiology Olympiad 2024 is a competitive academic event focused on the field of microbiology, where students will be able to showcase their knowledge on various aspects of microbiology viz. notable functions microorganisms, their interactions with other living organisms and applications in human welfare. This event is also a learning experience that will inspire participants to pursue careers in life sciences, medicine, or research. Participants will be tested on their general knowledge of microbiology and ability to present new ideas/development in this area through a short presentation (3 minutes PowerPoint Presentation followed by questions asked by the judges/audience).Organizer

Category of events to participate:
(i) Quiz: All registered students can take part and win the prize, seats will be filled up first come first served basis, 3 students will be allowed from each institution. Request for registration for more than 3 students can be considered if there is any vacant seat is available;
(ii) Mini presentation: Three-minute PowerPoint presentation on any of the following areas will be considered for this event. Only shortlisted candidates will be allowed to participate in any of the three categories. Maximum 20 candidates will be shortlisted for each category:
a. Environmental Microbiology
b. Medical Microbiology
c. Food Microbiology
NB: Certificates will be provided to all participants and winners of quiz and mini presentation will get separate certificates and crests.
Registration for Microbiology Olympiad 2024
Online registration is required for all participants going to attend from other colleges and “A” level schools.
Registration of accompanying teachers from prospective colleges and “A” level schools (Free)
We are inviting one teacher as a representative from each institution (colleges and “A” level
schools) to accompany their talented
students and participate in this event. We will need your registration
information in order to organize our event smoothly.
NB: Teachers’ registration is free.
Payment of registration fee
The registration fee is BDT 100.00 only per participant.
Student registration will be completed after payment is done.
