🔬🎨 FREE Microbiology Art Series

Explore the invisible worlds all around us through science, microscopes, and art!

Join Ponte Community Arts for a hands-on STEAM workshop where participants will learn about microbes, cells, and tiny biological structures, then use what they observe as inspiration for original artwork.

Suggested donation: $5–$10

👥 Who: Designed for youth ages 5–17, but all are welcome to learn!

Participants will use real microscopes and safe, age-appropriate materials to observe simple specimens such as prepared slides, plant material, water samples, and other classroom-safe examples.

Then, we’ll transform what we see under the microscope into art through drawing, pattern-making, printmaking, and creative visual interpretation.

✨ Learn how scientists observe life too small to see with the naked eye.
✨ Explore shape, texture, pattern, movement, and structure.
✨ Create abstract and imaginative artwork inspired by microscopic life.

Children under 18 attending without a parent or guardian present must have a signed waiver before class.
