When Terry discovers he's about to be a father, he does what any sane person would do. He moves himself and his nine-months-pregnant wife from Iowa to Los Angeles to shoot a low-budget indie movie and sell it to a streamer for a “fuck-ton of money.”
Documented by his cousin Devin’s behind-the-scenes camera crew, Terry finds that the only thing standing between himself and his dream is... himself. This "mockumentary" follows Terry’s disastrous attempts to make a movie, his one-sided infatuation with an actress, his antagonistic relationship with the crew, and his inability to serve anything edible at lunch.
With the cast and crew dropping like flies and the birth of his child approaching, Terry will need to find a way to finish his movie by any means necessary...short of becoming a better person.
