Please join the Monterey Museum of Art (MMA) and AIA Monterey Bay on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 2:00 pm at MMA's La Mirada location for a presentation and celebration of the work of architect Mickey Muennig. A leading proponent of the Organic Architecture Movement, Muennig produced designs which are inextricably rooted in their place of Big Sur. From his many homes to the Post Ranch Inn and Hawthorne Gallery, he created widely imaginative structures beautifully integrated with nature and their extraordinary environment. Architect and historian Alan Hess will discuss Muennig's background and his place within American architecture and present his major works. We continue with contributions from living patriarch of the Organic Movement, Herb Greene; Muennig protégés, architects Daniel Piechota and Thomas Rettenwender; managing partner of the Post Ranch Inn, Mike Freed; and artist/client Greg Hawthorne.

Please join us after the presentation for wine and light appetizers in the La Mirada Rose Garden on the beautiful grounds of Monterey Museum of Art—La Mirada
