Mickey-Me: Ship Wreck and Possibility

Ann Schnake and a series of abject Mickey Mouse figures are currently in residence at Dream Farm Commons, building an installation of new and continued works. As if in an oyster shell or a fishbowl, we are gazing out, guided by the vantage point of what our bodies, freshly emerging from the pandemic, now know. With our new antennas quivering, we are most acutely sensing the ecologic crisis that threatens our collective existence. As the residency started three malnourished whales died in the Bay. Please join us for a brief artists talk to follow the threads that might make us feel as if we are on a planet together: roses, lamb chops, whales, stained gloves and threads between.

There will be limited socially seating for the talk inside the gallery with some overflow chairs on the sidewalk. Please wear a mask and do let us know if your plans change so that we are able to open a chair for someone else
