Schedule

Marine Pollution Control | Detroit, MI
About this Event
Materials Management Plans (MMPs) are now required by law under Subpart 11 of Part 115 of the Michigan Natural Resources Environmental Protection Act (NREPA), P.A. 451 of 1994 (Part 115), as amended (Effective March 29, 2023).
Under Part 115 of the NREPA, the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) is requiring each county to develop a MMP to replace the existing Solid Waste Management Plans. The MMP process is designed to guide the management of countiesโ materials, with an emphasis on increasing sustainable practices, such as recycling and composting, in addition to ensuring safe disposal options.
So what does this mean for YOU?
Whether you are a municipality, business professional, or environmental industry worker, MMPs are-- and will continue to be-- a key part of your atmosphere. With little information out there, the goal of this discussion is twofold: to provide an overview of what MMPs are, and allow the opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have surrounding your next steps.
Please join us at Marine Pollution Control for a discussion lead by Jenna MacDonald, Regional Manager at Michigan Consulting & Environmental, to delve into MMPs and what they may mean for you. The goal of this enviroCHAT is not only to provide an overview on MMPs, but allow an opportunity for folks to make their voices heard in whatever questions or concerns they may have surrounding their own MMPs so that we can engage the appropriate EGLE representatives for 2026 enviroCHATs based on YOUR needs.
Don't miss out on this opportunity to familiarize yourself with MMPs, make sure your voice is heard, and network with industry folks. Space is limited, so register today!!
