FAQs
What is the refund policy?
NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES FOR A DIFFERENT DAY. Tickets are non-refundable, per event industry standards. The festival will occur regardless of the normal weather conditions. If you cannot attend for ANY reason(i.e. funeral, work, change of plans, family obligation, illness) you may sell or give your ticket to someone else. Friday and Saturday tickets ARE NOT interchangeable or exchangeable. Please make sure you are purchasing the correct day.
Is this an outdoor event?
Yes! This festival takes place outdoors. Weather can be unpredictable in Michigan, so please check the forecast and make wardrobe choices accordingly.
What does my admission price include?
Your ticket on Friday includes admission to the festival and 15 tokens for 3 oz beer samples. Your ticket on Saturday includes admission to the festival and the concert and 15 tickets for beer. From 3-6pm, beer samples will be available at each booth for 1 ticket for 3 oz. After 6pm, there will be 12 and 16oz beer available for purchase for 5 and 7 tickets respectively. Additional tickets will be available for purchase throughout the day. If you purchase a concert only ticket, you may enter the festival at 6pm, and will need to purchase tickets for beer. We are a non profit trade association, and your ticket purchase supports our organization, and helps to offset the many costs associated with the festival such as beer, tents, toilets, security, music, insurance, equipment, etc.
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
All festival attendees must be 21 or older to enter, even if they are designated drivers and are not drinking. A valid government ID is required for festival entry, with NO exceptions.
Can I buy a Designated Driver ticket?
Designated Driver tickets will be available for $20 at the event on Friday, and for a limited time on Saturday. You must be 21 or older with a valid ID to purchase a DD ticket, and you MUST be with a person/persons with a full price ticket. If they purchased their ticket on line, they will have to come with you and show their full price ticket to purchase a DD ticket. On Saturday, concert only tickets will be available for $40, so DD tickets will only be available at the beginning of the tasting portion of the festival.
Can I buy a Designated Driver ticket and then buy tokens for drinks if I change my mind?
No. Servers will not pour beer to Designated Drivers, and anyone caught drinking on a Designated Driver ticket will be immediately ejected from the festival.
Where do I pick up my tokens/drink tickets?
Festival staff will be handing cups & tokens/drink tickets to attendees immediately upon walking through the main gate into the festival.
Why must I use tokens/tickets if I already paid for a ticket?
State law requires that we comply with certain rules laid out by the Michigan Liquor Control Commission, which include utilizing drink tokens/tickets and specially marked cups to assure that we have a controlled means of serving beer.
All festival attendees are expected to willingly provide a token/ticket for each and every sample of beer received. Thank you for your cooperation which keeps us in compliance with state law.
What are my transport/parking options for getting to the event?
Very limited parking will be available at the park, and there are various parking areas in Depot Town.
What can/can't I bring to the event?
The following are NOT permitted on festival grounds: weapons of any kind, inappropriate/offensive clothing or costumes, outside alcohol, drugs, including marijuana, glass containers, children (including infants), strollers, wagons, bicycles, skateboards, rollerskates/rollerblades, or animals.
You may bring any of the following items with you to the festival: water and other non-alcoholic beverages in non-glass containers, food, folding/camping chairs, small coolers, small pop up tents (no larger than 10 x 10)ON FRIDAY ONLY. No tents allowed on Saturday. All items WILL BE SEARCHED.
Is my registration/ticket transferable? How do I transfer my ticket to another attendee?
Yes, tickets are transferable - but each bar code will only scan one time. You do not need to do anything special to transfer your ticket to another attendee's name. Purchaser name will not be checked against ID-holder name at the gate.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
You must bring a ticket with you to be scanned to allow you entry to the festival. This ticket can either be printed or be the electronic version accessible on your smartphone or wireless device.
How can I get early admission to the event?
Enthusiasts with valid membership ID card and VIPs with valid VIP pass will be permitted into the festival early, one hour prior to general admission. If you'd like to participate in early entry, you can sign up as an Enthusiast Member prior to the festival date. If you purchase tickets for non-enthusiast members, they will NOT be able to enter early.
I'm an Enthusiast Member. Can my DD get in early with me?
