Michelle Malone is a lifer. She's been a mainstay of American music for more than 30 years, building her community onstage and off. Her musical roots run deep and wide like the mighty Mississippi river, twisting and turning through roadhouse rock & roll, blues, folk, and country-soul territories. It's a sound that's taken the award-winning songwriter around the world, but it's inspired by Malone's home in the South, too.
Malone's powerful live show will take you on a journey from dirty back roads of the deep slow south to frantic bright city lights, regardless of whether she's performing solo, or armed with her electric guitar and her band of Georgia all-stars. Her live shows are upbeat and authentic, engaging and satisfyingly soul stirring, flush with the raw energy and emotion that’s always been a part of her signature sound. Over the course of Malone’s career, she has shared stages with artists from Gregg Allman to Sugarland's Kristian Bush and Jennifer Nettles, John Mayer to Mississippi All-Stars Luther Dickenson, Indigo Girls to Brandi Carlisle, released 17 records, and continues to gain respect from her peers. Michelle Malone's latest album, Southern Comfort (10/4 24), is a guitar-driven Americana singer songwriter record cowritten in part with Dean Dillon of TN Whiskey fame, and features special guests Buddy Miller, Rick Richards (Georgia Satellites) Will Kimbrough (Emmylou Harris), Charlie Starr and Paul Jackson (Blackberry Smoke), and Randall Bramblett. This timeless music is a sound for everywhere and for everyone. Malone gives her songs a sense of place while still making them sound universal, and that talent - the sharp edge of the songwriting itself — is perhaps the most comforting thing about her latest record.
