We'd like to introduce you to Michelle Lambert.

Hi Michelle, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
My story begins in California, as a little 2-year-old girl starting on a tiny 1/16th size violin in a small rural town north of San Francisco. I grew up studying multiple instruments but my love was for singing and writing songs. As soon as I got my first car, I got my GED and started playing regional shows before heading to the East Coast to study at the Berklee School of Music. After graduating, My focus was making a living as a musician immediately, this took me to Nashville, TN.

Some of my favorite moments in Music City were performing at the Grand Ole Opry, the Women’s NCAA Final 4, and touring all over the states and internationally. 3 years into getting my real-life experience caught up, I was ready to hit the road with my artistic vision. Since then, it’s been a whirlwind of touring, recording, and writing new music. I am getting ready to release another album after a few more finishing touches in the studio.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I would compare it to a rollercoaster ride. The highs are very high, and the lows are very important to learn to ride out healthily. I know it’s a little cliche, but mistakes and obstacles are the fastest way to learn.

The biggest struggle for me was listening to my inner voice, everyone is there to give you their opinion but at the end of the day it’s your life and your art, don’t let anyone take that from you. Sometimes I get low after playing a run of shows and I just miss the high of connecting with audiences, which can make me crash pretty hard sometimes.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My work is writing music, performing shows, and connecting with audiences everywhere I go. I am very proud of listening to the call of being an artist and singer-songwriter even in the hard times, never losing sight or giving up.
