Born and raised in Cincinnati, Michael started doing stand-up in Phoenix before moving to Los Angeles, where he’s built a national following with his sharp stand-up, sports obsession, and viral comedy from NFL tailgates.
Michael can be seen on Kevin Hart’s Funny AF on Netflix and BET’s ComicView and has released two Don’t Tell Comedy specials. He’s also been featured on Chocolate Sundaes and Netflix Is a Joke Radio, and released his first full-length stand-up special, Live on New Year’s Eve, on YouTube.
A lifelong sports fan, Michael decided to combine his two favorite worlds by scheduling comedy shows around major sporting events. His popular Mike’d Up series takes him straight into NFL tailgates, talking with fans and finding the comedy in the chaos.
That eventually led to Michael creating The Tailgate Tour, performing shows around the Cincinnati Bengals’ road schedule. He’s also covered the NFL and other sports for NBC Sports and Bally Sports, along with NASCAR and Professional Bull Riding for FOX.
Basically, if Michael Turner is performing in your city, there’s a decent chance something big is happening at a stadium nearby.
