Guitar legend Michael Schenker celebrates the 50th anniversary of his :me with UFO live on tourWhen he joined UFO at the end of 1973, the then 18-year-old Michael Schenker contributed significantly to
the Bri:sh rock band's international mega-success and rose from being “the German Wunderkind" to
becoming one of the most renowned guitarists of our :me, who continues to influence en:re generations
of musicians around the world with his legendary guitar playing.
During his :me with UFO from 1974-1978, known as the "Schenker era", Michael Schenker released five
groundbreaking studio albums such as "Lights Out" (1977) and "Phenomenon" (1974) and the live album
"Strangers In The Night" (Live in Chicago 1978), which is s:ll considered groundbreaking today, and is jointly
responsible for world hits such as "Doctor Doctor", "Rock Bo\om" and "Only You Can Rock Me".
Michael Schenker is not only celebrating the 50th anniversary of his :me with UFO with new editons of the
best UFO songs of that :me period with many guest stars on recordings, but will also be embarking on a
major European tour with his backing band in 2025.
Due to the massive success of the “My Years With UFO” tour at the beginning of 2025, Michael Schenker
will be back for round two star:ng in February 2026 – be there when the :meless classics take you on
another journey into the past!
