Michael Prentky BioMichael Prentky is a musical omnivore and polyglot on trombone. His debut album sad boy:ADD:apocalypse (Fall 2025) is described as intense but... satisfying as it is daring (Noah Shaffer WBUR). The music combines disparate interests such as Frank Zappa, Klezmer and Vijay Iyer. His follow up project is an original klezmer brass band; dreaming to usher klezmer into the 21st century. This mammoth odyssey, six years in the making, is Prentkys unwavering commitment to authenticity. The writing is lush, emotive, wistful and cathartic creating powerfully immersive live performances.
