Michael Cera Palin is an American emo band from Atlanta, Georgia. Formed in 2015, the band currently consists of Elliott Brabant, Jon Williams & Chad Miller. They have performed with Math the Band, Prince Daddy & The Hyena, Mikey Erg, and others. In October 2015, the band released their debut EP, Growing Pains, followed by their 2018 sophomore release, I Don't Know How To Explain It. Covering heavy topics like self-harm and internal preservation, Michael Cera Palin doesn’t hold back in taking ownership of their music and creating a metaphorical sphere of consciousness, from which they embrace the listener in the most personal manner.
***FEALE (Emo/Indie/Gaze, Chemnitz/Dresden)
Feale, gegründet im Jahr 2018, haben sich im Zuge verschiedener personeller Wechsel stetig neu erfunden und ihren Sound kontinuierlich weiterentwickelt, um der Musiklandschaft eine erfrischende Alternative entgegenzubringen. Was als Nebenprojekt begann, wurde schnell zur musikalischen Hauptaufgabe des Chemnitz-Dresdner Trios, das eine Welt von chorus-geladenen Gitarren, punkigen Drums sowie kraft-und gefühlsvollem Gesang erschafft.
Im Juni 2023 haben FEALE ihre lang erwartete EP "Indoor Activities" veröffentlicht, die eine einzigartige Mischung aus Indie, Emo, Punk und Shoegaze präsentiert. Seit ihrer Gründung haben FEALE stetig an ihrem Sound gearbeitet und sich durch die DIY-Szene gespielt. Auf "Indoor Activities" zeigen FEALE ein breites musikalisches Spektrum, emotionale Intensivitat und eine Prise Selbstironie.
***BEACH CHURCH w/ Luke from Oakhands (Post-Midwest-Emo, München/Berlin)
Formed in something like 2005 as young teens but quickly disbanding after surprising and overwhelming underground success on platforms like MySpace and Pure Volume that was never meant to be, Beach Church are back to spread the twinkle and colour in the blank space between Post Midwest Emo to Leftfield Math Pop. Beach Church decided to ditch traditional band structures with their reunion and now act as an open collective with shifting musical lineups and vocalists from across the current german-speaking DIY- and Emo scene. Strictly DIY and decidedly oddball, their ever-changing, complex and highly melodic (real fake) emo songs never sound the same. The results are just as gripping as they’re irritating and bemusing for everyone involved.
