Miami Valley Local Food Convening

The Hall Hunger Initiative, Co-op Dayton and American Farm Enterprise are excited to bring folks together for the Miami Valley Food System Convening — a hands-on, community-focused gathering for farmers, food producers, and partners who care about building a stronger, more connected local food system.

Many of us have admired the work of Richland Gro-op, and we’re thrilled to welcome their team to Dayton! They’ll share their experience building a farmer-led cooperative and what they’ve learned along the way. Together, we’ll use their story as a starting point to imagine what deeper collaboration could look like here in the Miami Valley.

This won’t be a sit-and-listen meeting — it’s a working session. We’ll roll up our sleeves to map out our local assets, market opportunities, and funding pathways, and start identifying what we need to move toward a Miami Valley food system pilot in 2026.
