The Miami Sharks are the new sports team in Miami and the first professional rugby franchise in all of Florida, kicking off their competition on March 3rd in the MLR. The Sharks train and play at Inter Miami. With a strong roster of local and international players, including the notable figure Tomas Cubelli (the scrum-half with participation in three World Cups and over 90 international tests with the Argentine national team). Rugby is an adrenaline-fueled sport that promises to be the fastest-growing sport in the United States, not only due to its high-contact appeal but also because it is a sport where community is paramount. In September 2023, the Florida Blue Training Center, home of Major League Soccer Club Inter Miami CF, entered an agreement with the Miami Sharks Rugby Club. Currently, the Miami Sharks share the facilities with Inter Miami First Team, Second Team, and Academy Teams, granting access to Inter Miami top-tier training resources.
