Miami Fiber Triennial 2026 Demonstration: Returning the colors to the Sea

Join us for an Artist Talk & Demonstration by Marisol Torruella & Nidia Baquero/ Ocean Ink, presented as part of the Miami Fiber Triennial 2026. In Returning the Colors to the Sea, Torruella explores environmental awareness through a soft sculpture created from reclaimed materials, including a rescued fishing net and recycled fibers. Through storytelling and audience participation, the work invites reflection on ocean conservation, sustainability, and the impact of industrial practices on our ecosystems. Participants are encouraged to engage directly with the piece, becoming part of a collective gesture of restoration and care.
