Welcome to the MHH Salon, where we assemble to discuss horror themes and topics in depth.

Please join us in person as we discuss all things Cosmic Horror! From classic Lovecraftian tales to contemporary adaptations, Cosmic Horror not only inspires diverse and creative stories, but is here to stay among horror fans everywhere.

If you wish, share a Cosmic Horror story, school us on what Cosmic Horror entails, or simply feel free to take a listening role. All are welcome, and I will kick off the session with a brief definition of the genre and classical and contemporary examples in both literature and film.

What is a salon? Salons date back to 16th Century Italy and were gatherings based on fun and intellectual discourse. Later in history, salons factored heavily in literary and artistic movements throughout the world. Our goal with the MHH Salon is to discuss wide-ranging or specific ideas in the horror genre that will provide both entertainment and enlightenment.
