segment in the facebook event page
• Offline registration sheets will be given to respected
institutions,Clubs and Campus Ambassadors
• On spot registration will be available on the event date

Some General Clarifications:
• All the Olympiads Question will be in both Bangla and English
• All the participants have to take their registration card within the
given time at the festival
• Participants are requested to wear school/college uniform and
carry their institution ID Card
• Every team must consist of 3 participants except Scrapbook
which will feature 2 participants. Cross institutional teams aren’t
allowed.
• Team performers must assign their team members before attending any team segments.
• The top 3 teams from each category will be rewarded.
• Necessary rules and regulations will be revealed in the specific discussion posts of every team segment.
Segments Descriptions:
• Astronomy Olympiad : The Astronomy Olympiad is a competitive academic event for students that tests their knowledge and skills in astronomy, astrophysics, and related sciences. It includes theoretical, practical, and observational challenges and aims to inspire interest in space science, foster problem-solving abilities, and encourage international collaboration.
• Geology Olympiad: The Geology Olympiad is a competitive academic event designed to promote interest and excellence in geology and earth sciences among students. Participants engage in various challenges that test their knowledge of topics such as mineralogy, petrology, paleontology, stratigraphy, geophysics, and environmental geology. The competition often includes theoretical tests, practical tasks like rock and mineral identification, and sometimes fieldwork activities. It aims to inspire young scientists, enhance their understanding of Earth's processes, and encourage careers in geosciences.
• Ecology Olympiad: The Ecology Olympiad is a competitive event aimed at fostering interest and understanding of ecology and environmental science among students. It tests participants on topics such as ecosystems, biodiversity, conservation, environmental issues, ecological interactions, and sustainability. The competition typically includes theoretical exams, data analysis, and practical tasks, promoting critical thinking and problem-solving skills. It encourages awareness of ecological challenges and inspires students to pursue careers in environmental sciences and conservation.
• Earth Science Olympiad: The Earth Science Olympiad is an annual competition for secondary school students that tests their knowledge and skills in various Earth science disciplines, including geology, meteorology, environmental science, and astronomy. • Wall Magazine: A wall magazine competition is an event where participants create and display large posters or "wall magazines" on a chosen theme. • Scrapbook: A scrapbook competition is an event where participants showcase their creativity and storytelling skills by designing themed scrapbooks. These scrapbooks are often filled with photos, memorabilia, handwritten notes, and decorative elements like stickers and ribbons. Competitors are judged on their artistic creativity, originality, and how well they capture and present their chosen theme or story. It's a fun and engaging way to express creativity and preserve cherished memories!
• Project Display: A project display competition is an event where participants present their projects, which could range from scientific experiments and engineering designs to art installations and social studies. The projects are usually displayed on boards or tables, and participants often create visual aids, models, or demonstrations to explain their work. Judging is based on creativity, presentation, originality, and the depth of research or effort put into the project. It’s a great platform to showcase innovative ideas and hard work!
• Photography: Photography is the art and practice of capturing moments, scenes, or subjects through the use of a camera, using light as the primary medium. It combines technical skills with creativity to produce images that can evoke emotions, tell stories, document events, or serve as a form of artistic expression. Photography can be done for personal, professional, or commercial purposes and spans various genres such as portrait, landscape, wildlife, fashion, and documentary photography. With advancements in technology, photography has evolved from analog film to digital formats, allowing for greater versatility and innovation in capturing and sharing images.
• Poster Designing: Poster designing is a creative process that involves crafting visually engaging and impactful layouts to convey information or promote an idea, event, or product. It combines various design elements such as typography, imagery, color schemes, and layout composition to attract attention and communicate a clear message effectively. The goal of poster designing is to balance aesthetics and functionality, ensuring that the design captures the audience's interest while delivering the intended message in a concise and compelling manner. • Sci-fi Story Writing: Sci-fi story writing involves crafting narratives set in imaginative and futuristic worlds, often exploring advanced technology, space exploration, time travel, artificial intelligence, or extraterrestrial life. It combines scientific concepts with creative speculation, allowing writers to delve into "what if" scenarios that challenge the boundaries of human understanding and innovation. Sci-fi stories often address themes such as ethics, societal evolution, and the impact of technology on humanity, blending science with fiction to inspire curiosity and provoke thought. This genre invites readers to explore complex ideas while engaging with compelling characters and immersive settings.
• Planet Parade:
Planet Parade is a creative and educational competition where participants showcase their knowledge and artistic skills by presenting models, dioramas, or multimedia presentations of the planets in our solar system. It's basically a team segment. There will be 3 members in a team. Each team or individual highlights unique features, comparative sizes, orbits, and intriguing facts about their chosen planet.
Judging criteria include scientific accuracy, creativity, presentation skills, and the ability to engage the audience. This competition encourages students to explore planetary science in-depth while fostering teamwork and innovation. It's a stellar opportunity to shine bright on a national stage!
• The Final Whistle Quiz: The Final Whistle Quiz is a sports-themed trivia game designed to test participants' knowledge about various sports, athletes, teams, and historic &iconic stadium. It typically includes a range of challenging questions across multiple formats, such as multiple-choice and picture-based rounds.
Designed for fans of all levels, it offers exciting rounds and competitive fun, perfect for sports enthusiasts and quiz lovers alike.
• Riddle Rush: RIDDLE RUSH is an interactive and educational trivia game that tests players’ wits with riddles inspired by the wonders of nature and astronomy. The riddle starting with simpler ones and progressively challenging players' knowledge and reasoning skills.
• Planetary Preservation: Planetary Preservation follows humanity's daring journey to a distant alien world in a desperate bid to survive after Earth's collapse. As they land on an uncharted planet, the settlers face breathtaking beauty, lurking dangers, and the monumental challenge of building a civilization from scratch. With limited resources and rising tensions, they must balance survival, exploration, and morality while unlocking the mysteries of their new home. Will humanity thrive in this new frontier, or will the mistakes of the past doom them once again? The stakes are nothing less than the future of the species.
• ECO AND ASTRO VERSE IDEATION: "Eco and Astro Verse Ideation" generating creative ideas, solutions and invites bright minds to explore the intersection of environmental sustainability (Eco) and space exploration (Astro). The Astro ideation can encompass a variety of creative and scientific topics, it also refers to the process of brainstorming, developing, astronomy and the broader field of astrophysics. The Eco ideation can include a wide range of topics and solutions aimed at protecting the environment .The segment challenges participants to think creatively about how we can protect our earth while and into the universe.
• Extempore Speech: A well-prepared speech that relies on research, clear organization, and practiced delivery, but is neither read nor memorized. What is an Extemporaneous Speech? The word extemporaneous means “without planning” and is considered a synonym for the word impromptu.
A successful Extemporaneous Speech begins with an introduction that catches the listener's attention, introduces the theme, and answers the question through two to three areas of analysis. This is followed by a conclusion, which summarizes the speech and may have an impact upon the audience.
• Pharmacology Olympiad: The Pharmacology Olympiad for Higher Secondary Students is a competitive event designed to introduce students to the basics of pharmacology, including drug actions, uses, and safety. Aimed at Grades 11-12 biology and chemistry students, it fosters curiosity in medical sciences through one Match the following and Mcq's . It’s an excellent platform to explore healthcare careers and gain recognition.
• Meteoroid Olympics: This is a short answer question segment with a focus on asteroids and their potential impacts. Teams will be given a set of 20 questions requiring concise, one-to-two sentence answers. The team with the most accurate and concise answers within a set time limit (e.g., 10 minutes) will be declared the winner.
• Article Submission: This segment invites participants to explore the fascinating connection between ecology and astronomy. Participants will submit insightful articles showcasing how these two fields intersect, such as how astronomical phenomena impact Earth's ecosystems or how ecological changes influence observations of the cosmos. It's an opportunity to share innovative ideas and foster interdisciplinary understanding.
• Drawing: Discover the wonders of Eco and Astro themes through art in this engaging drawing segment. Participants will express their creativity by illustrating concepts like sustainability, space exploration, and the beauty of nature and the cosmos. A perfect blend of imagination and awareness, this activity celebrates the harmony between Earth and the universe.
• Workshops (Open for all) :
Workshops are one of the most practical ways of enriching our knowledge, where any unique demonstration of any topic can illustrate our mind-field collectively. NDMC has been organizing a handful of workshops, related to mathematics, on several spellbinding topics to clinch the thirst of math philonoists. NDMC will organize math workshops this year for enthusiasts, featuring prominent Bangladeshi mathematicians and IMO medallists.
