Mezcal Tasting with Hacienda Oponguio

Join us for a mezcal tasting with one of our favorite mezcals, originally featured as part of our Mezcal Bridges event in 2019 - Hacienda Oponguio!

At the beginning of the 20th century, Juan Mejía Gómez began the brand's history on the banks of Lake Pátzcuaro in Oponguio Michoacán. Two generations later, they resumed the tradition, and finally in 2015 “Hacienda Oponguio” was born. Their spirits are a testament to the expertise and passion of the master mezcaleros, Miguel Angel Jaramillo Hernandez and his son, Luis Angel Jaramillo Zuñiga, at the Hacienda Oponguio vinata in Michoacán, Mexico.

Guests will enjoy tastes of four different mezcal expressions, including Espadín, Cupreata, Inaequidens and Espadín-Inaequidens Ensamble. We'll be serving a selection of Mission Cantina bites, including our almost-famous pork brisket tips with mezcal barbacoa sauce and other delectable snacks. ¡Salud!
