Join Meyer Sound at our Berkeley headquarters for the pilot launch of our Product Training Series: PANTHER. Designed for rental partners, system technicians, and audio professionals who support Meyer Sound systems in live production and touring environments, this new training pathway helps teams deploy PANTHER systems and support live productions and touring environments with confidence. Held in Planet X, our new learning experience center, the program combines core Meyer Sound principles with product-specific operator training.
Courses may be taken individually or as a complete series, with completion of the full series qualifying participants for the pilot System Technician Certification: PANTHER competency exam.
What You'll Learn
Participants will develop:
- Familiarity with Meyer Sound tools, software, products, and deployment workflows.
- An understanding of Meyer Sound's system thinking approach, including loudspeaker behavior, deployment workflow, system headroom, Target Curve, tuning, optimization, and system-monitoring procedures.
- Practical skills for deploying, operating, optimizing, and maintaining PANTHER and 2100-LFC systems.
- Get more out of PANTHER systems and deliver consistent results for customers.
- A clearer pathway toward the System Technician Certification: PANTHER.
Training Schedule

Introduction to Meyer Sound Toolset
Instructor: Costandina 'Costa' Daros
Build practical familiarity with the Meyer Sound ecosystem, including MAPP 3D, Compass, GALAXY, Nebra, Milan AVB, loudspeaker families, processors, and core deployment workflows. This course provides the foundation for the rest of the training pathway.

System Thinking for Sound Reinforcement
Instructor: Mauricio "Magu" Ramirez
Develop a system-level understanding of Meyer Sound loudspeaker behavior, processing platforms, deployment workflows, and the concepts and procedures that support successful system implementation and tuning.

PANTHER Operator Training
Instructor: Sana Romanos
Apply the foundational concepts to the deployment, configuration, optimization, monitoring, and maintenance of PANTHER and 2100-LFC systems. Topics include MAPP 3D workflows, GALAXY processing, Milan AVB networking, cabling, rigging, Product Integration, LMBC, voicing, Target Curve, and system monitoring. Attendees must have working knowledge of Meyer Sound tools, system design software, and basic Milan AVB networking concepts. This course assumes prior experience with professional audio systems and is not intended as an introductory audio course.
Certification Eligibility
Participants may register for individual courses or attend the complete series. To be eligible for the pilot System Technician Certification: PANTHER competency exam, participants must complete:
- Introduction to Meyer Sound Toolset (option to test out)
- System Thinking for Sound Reinforcement
- PANTHER Operator Training
Assessment quizzes are included in the foundational courses. After completing the full training series, participants become eligible to complete the required competency exam for System Technician Certification: PANTHER.
The registration fee includes training materials, Eventbrite fees, and morning coffee + pastries.

Associate Technical Instructor
Costandina Daros is a graduate of UC Irvine’s MFA Sound Design program. Her love of sound started in Theatrical Sound Design and has been growing ever since. Some of her favorite past designs include Birds of North America (The Odyssey), The Little Prince (South Coast Repertory), and her MFA thesis show Rent (UC Irvine) which featured a Meyer Spacemap Go System with Ultra-X40s to track the vocals. In her role as Meyer Sound’s Associate Technical Instructor she looks forward to sharing her knowledge while making learning accessible to all.

Mauricio 'Magu' Ramírez
Senior Technical Seminar Instructor
Mauricio "Magu" Ramírez is Meyer Sound’s Senior Technical Seminar Instructor. Mauricio joined Meyer Sound in 1997, bringing 10 years of previous experience in sound as Live Mixing Sound Engineer and Live Systems Technician in Mexico. Since 1997, Mauricio has taught more than 600 seminars — an average of 30 per year — in 72 countries across the Americas, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia, and more than 30 conferences for Audio Engineering Society in 22 years in three continents.
Mauricio has worked on the sound for various installations, festivals, and artists, including the Nobel Peace Prize (Norway), Montreux Jazz Festival (Switzerland), Isle of Wight Festival (United Kingdom), Marcos Witt (Mexico), National Auditorium (Mexico), Telmex Auditorium (Mexico), Soda Stereo (Colombia), Paul McCartney (Argentina), Metallica (Colombia, Guatemala, Mexico, United States, Denmark, Holland), Marc Anthony (Panama, Guatemala, San Salvador, United States), and Roskilde Festival (Denmark).

Technical Services Specialist
As Technical Services Specialist, Middle East, Sana Romanos offers a range of support services throughout the region, including customer tech support and coordinating design services as well as facilitating demos and education programs. She holds a B.S. degree in physics from American University of Beirut and a master’s degree in audio engineering from Université Blaise Pascal. Her industry experience includes technical management and front of house/monitor mixing positions with international touring artists and major music festivals, notably the Roskilde Festival in Denmark. She is based in Beirut, Lebanon.
