Mexican Tin Ornament Holiday Workshop

6:00 to 7:30 p.m.

$12 per person | Space is limited

In conjunction with Connecting Cultures Across Kansas City: The Hand-in-Hand Folk Art Collection, located on the Museum’s second floor, discover the beauty of Mexican Tin Art (Hojalata) in this hands-on workshop inspired by one of Mexico’s most vibrant folk-art traditions.

Participants will learn about the history and cultural significance of decorative tinwork, an art form that has been practiced for generations to create ornaments, mirrors, lanterns, and festive decorations.

Using embossed metal techniques and traditional design elements, attendees will create their own handcrafted tin ornament while exploring the role of folk art in preserving cultural heritage and community storytelling.

This workshop is perfect for the holiday season!
