Join us and bring a piece of ancient Mexican spirit into your life!
Discover the magic of the Ojo de Dios - the God’s Eye - a vibrant, protective charm rooted in the traditions of Mexico’s Huichol (Wixárika) and Tepehuan peoples.
In this hands-on Mexican Art workshop delivered by Arts Ekta, you’ll learn how to weave colourful yarn around crossed wooden sticks, creating a talisman that embodies health, good luck, and the power to see the unseen.
Each Ojo de Dios carries deep meaning: the central knot represents the sun, while the four points honour the cardinal directions and the elements of Earth, Fire, Water and Air. Traditionally, a new colour is added each year for a child’s first five years, a ritual of protection and blessing that you can continue in your own home.
Whether you’re drawn to cultural heritage, folk art, or simply love beautiful handmade décor, this workshop gives you the skills to craft a personal Ojo de Dios to hang in your space or offer as a heartfelt gift.
