The highly anticipated 12th annual Opening Night of Metropolitan Fashion Week is set to return to The Original Farmers Market Los Angeles at 3rd and Fairfax on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at 6:00 pm. Presented by kendi lux, this year's event will be held in front of the Market’s iconic Clock Tower and promises to showcase creativity, talent, and innovation, featuring a night of extraordinary fashion set to inspirational cinematic scores.
Metropolitan Fashion Week Los Angeles 2024 Opening Night blends the worlds of fashion and cinema in a one-of-a-kind showcase. This year's theme will highlight fashion masterpieces inspired by iconic motion picture and television scores. Designed by Metropolitan Fashion Week Opening Night Alumni, Carl Andrada, Eruvey Tapia, Clydia Richardson, and guest designer Jersey Virago, these creations are poised to mesmerize the audience with their artistry and innovation, seamlessly merging moving musical scores with contemporary fashion trends.
In addition to the show, attendees will be treated to a special presentation celebrating the remarkable achievements of costume designer Inoe Vargas. Vargas will be honored with the prestigious "Designer of the Year" award, recognizing his outstanding 10-year trajectory with Metropolitan Fashion Week. His contributions to the world of costume design have set a new standard of excellence, and this award is a testament to his dedication and creativity.
Metropolitan Fashion Week Los Angeles 2024 will be an unforgettable evening of fashion, art, and entertainment. Join us as we celebrate the fusion of fashion and soundtracks and honor the incredible talents that make this event possible.

Just two days later, The Metropolitan Fashion Week Los Angeles Closing Gala, presented by kendi lux, will take place on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at the iconic Ronald Reagan Presidential Library & Museum.
For each ticket purchased for Metropolitan Fashion Week Los Angeles 2024, Metropolitan Fashion Week will donate 5 books to children in need within our local communities, in partnership with the Kiwanis Literacy Club Foundation.
