Metro Parks disABILITIES - Community Connection Night
About this Event
Join us for the Metro Parks disABILITIES Community Connection Night to learn how the Tennessee Caregiver Coalition supports caregivers across Tennessee through resources, relief services, and meaningful connections. This free informational meeting welcomes caregivers, individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), and supporters of the Nashville disABILITIES community.
About Community Connections
MPDP Community Connection events are monthly informational meetings highlighting agencies, services, and supports available to individuals with IDD in the Greater Nashville community. Each gathering introduces attendees to valuable resources for themselves, their families, or the people they support.
This month’s presentation
This November, we are excited to welcome the Tennessee Caregiver Coalition, an organization dedicated to uplifting caregivers by providing the tools they need to restore balance, wellness, and connection in their daily lives.
You’ll learn about their vision of a world where caregivers are fully supported, as well as their mission to respond compassionately to caregivers’ needs through relief and support services. The Coalition will share information about resources that help caregivers reclaim time, reduce stress, and build community.
Their work is grounded in values of Community, Compassion, Justice, Transparency, and Wellness—creating spaces where all people are seen, heard, valued, and supported. Whether you're a caregiver seeking balance, a parent looking for resources, or simply interested in strengthening the caregiver community, this session will offer meaningful insights and practical tools.
