Enjoy a six-mile social bike ride with Metro Bike Share!

Get ready for an invigorating community ride through the lively streets of Los Angeles! Begin your pedal-powered journey at Chinatown Station (Spring & College Metro Bike Share Station) and traverse to the iconic Taylor Yard Bridge.

This route is great for novice riders, those who haven't ridden in a while, and those looking to socialize! This ride is welcoming to older children on personal bikes. Children must either be secured in an approved child carrier or ride their bicycles and be supervised by an adult at all times - parental discretion is advised.

Route Highlights:


  • Scenic Path: Follow the charming Spring Street, soaking in the bustling energy of downtown Los Angeles.
  • Riverfront Majesty: Pause for a moment of awe as we reach the flowing LA River, witnessing its beauty and importance to the development of Los Angeles.
  • Frogtown Pitstop: Make a quick stop in the neighborhood of Frogtown at Just What I Kneaded, a local vegan bakery. We will pack the snacks to go, and have a picnic on the Taylor Yard Bridge just a few minutes away!
  • Iconic Destination: Reach the iconic Taylor Yard Bridge, a recent pedestrian project that connects both sides of the LA River.
  • Return Journey: Enjoy the same scenic route back, soaking in the sights and sounds of the city once more.

Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to explore the heart of Los Angeles on two wheels! Join us for the Metro Bike Share Community Ride and let's pedal our way to adventure together!

Feeling hungry or thirsty? There are also plenty of locally-owned businesses on the route to explore before or after the ride! We will be making a quick stop for treats at Just What I Kneaded, a local vegan bakery. Please bring cash or a credit/debit card if you would like to purchase a snack.

This ride is "no-drop," meaning we will maintain a comfortable and inclusive pace for all participants.

  • At 11:00 am, we will promptly begin introductions and safety check, along with ensuring everyone has a helmet and water bottle at no cost.
  • From 11:15 am to 12:00 pm, we will ride along the route, stopping first to pick up a snack and then riding to the Taylor Yard Bridge for an exciting break spot!
  • We will return no later than 1:00 pm to Expo/Bundy Station.

Start/endpoint: Spring & College Metro Bike Share Station (Located directly adjacent to the Metro Chinatown Station, serving the A Line)

Important Information:

  • Safety first! We recommend you bring a bike helmet and wear it properly.
  • Please ride courteously and be aware of your surroundings. Use your best judgment.
  • Don't have a helmet? We can provide one at no charge.
  • Never leave your Metro Bike unattended. Always be sure to dock your Metro Bike and listen for three beeps.
  • You must be 16+ to use a Metro Bike. Under 18? Your parent/guardian will need to fill out your waiver.
  • All attendees must complete and sign a paper waiver upon arrival.
