About this Event

COMMON GROUND REVISITED
an adaptation of J. ANTHONY LUKAS' COMMON GROUND: A TURBULENT DECADE IN THE LIVES OF THREE AMERICAN FAMILIES
conceived by MELIA BENSUSSEN & KIRSTEN GREENIDGE
adapted by KIRSTEN GREENIDGE
produced by HUNTINGTON THEATRE COMPANY

With Boston Public Schools (and many suburban districts) more segregated in 2021 than they were in 1974, this riveting world premiere play is a timely examination of the court-mandated busing of the1960s and 70s. Three diverse families experience history in real time, drawing from the Pulitzer-Prize winning book Common Ground with a contemporary lens. Learn more here.

This very special METCO performance will be followed by a panel discussion on METCO's relationship to these events and what the program can teach us about the continuing pursuit of educational opportunity for all.

A limited number of $10 tickets are available for Boston and suburban families to enjoy, thanks to the sponsorship of BASI/Outside the Box Act 2.

Recommended for ages 16+.

Limit 4 tickets per order please. For groups larger than four, please contact Colin Stokes at [email protected].

Proof of full COVID vaccination is required.
