Gnosticism was a second-century religious movement that posited that salvation could be achieved through a form of secret knowledge.Adherents believed that the world was created by a lesser divinity, and only through this esoteric wisdom could one rise above this imperfect reality. Gnostic thought was that a true "divine spark" resided within individuals and could be liberated through spiritual enlightenment.
Early Christian church fathers condemned gnostic teachers and beliefs as heretical. Are you a heretic? Do you believe we are all divinity? Do you have other ideas? Let's talk!
Metaphysical Tea is a roundtable discussion with many points of view. It is a great meeting if you are thinking of coming for the first time, or the first time in a while!
Please bring healthy snacks to share .
Door opens at 7pm, come to socialize before we start the meeting at 7:30.
