While Persephone’s absence from the mortal realm casts the world into winter doldrums, a great celebration rages in the underworld. Adorned in the brightest and whitest garments, guests bring light to the darkest regions of Hades. Join the good spirits in a tradition as old as time: the white-costumed ball.
Costume suggestions: Winter goddess, sexy yeti, ice giant, arctic fox, snow bunny. At The Axis Club, radically transformed into a winter wonderland.

SMALLTOWN DJs (Calgary)
We are thrilled to welcome Smalltown DJs back to the WHITEOUT stage! The Smalltown sound is fun bass-heavy house music, combining the spirit of Canada's outdoor electronic music festivals such as Shambhala & Bass Coast, with the sound they cultivated at the legendary Hifi Club in Calgary (which they owned and operated). In 2024 they released music on DirtyBird, Rules Don't Apply, Fool's Gold, Box of Cats, WhatToDo!, and more.

After an explosive six-hour back-to-back set with Felix Cartal on the Metaphoenix art car at post-rain Burning Man in 2023, we are overjoyed to be joined by SUBSET in Toronto. Subset has appeared at Electric Forest, Lost Lands, Holy Ship, Above & Beyond's Group Therapy Weekender, Desert Hearts, and Closer to the Sun, both solo and with his group of mischievous merrymakers, The Instigators. Get ready for some bangin' tunes that span genres from house and techno to dubstep, rock, funk, soul, reggae, hip hop and more.
PINEO & LOEB (Halifax)
Uplifting, Funky, High-Energy & Good Vibes are just a few words that describe Canadian electronic Producer/DJ duo, PINEO & LOEB! Together they blur genre
boundaries uniting electronic, dance, hip-hop & rock fans alike. With multiple international tours, collaborations with Grammy Nominees and support from BBC Radio 1 (UK), Virgin (CAN) & George FM (NZ), PINEO & LOEB hit a balance of pure party fun and artistic ambition. Steadily making a name for themselves in the electronic music scene, their music can also be heard on multiple major networks such as Netflix, HBO, Fox and TNT.
DEFIED (Nelson, BC)
Vocalist and Metaphoenix founding member JJ Watts (Jamie Joong Watts) pairs with rapper and songwriter Vs. (Matthew Richer-Miller) to bring us a new experimental music group called DEFIED. Their yet undefinable genre is inspired by producers like clams casino and james blake. Though their beats are often hip hop derived, DEFIED also dips into the bass music electronic scene, and DEFIED will be debuting a suite of dancefloor-driven remixes for their second WHITEOUT appearance! https://defied.ca

WHO IS METAPHOENIX
Metaphoenix is a Toronto- and Las Vegas-based art car collective. The team includes some of the same talented builders and makers from the Prodigal Swan art car and the Heavy Meta dragon art car, along with new welders and flame effects technicians from around the continent. The team has built a 50 foot-long metal phoenix mutant vehicle, a towering, fiery steel beast that represents rebirth after the flames of the pandemic. Read more here: https://www.metaphoenix.art
