Metamorphosis: The Piano Trio Reimagined

Verve Trio showcases the palette of emotions and vast array of timbres that a piano trio ensemble can deliver–and beyond! Our program includes Ravel’s monumental take on this genre, Pierre Jalbert’s innovative blending of the three instruments, and a Schubert composition that is intimate yet dramatic. The trio will also premiere a work which is “a chronicle of personal musical development” by Ben Leeds Carson, composition professor at University of California at Santa Cruz.
