Metalshop Orientation @TheFoundry - Safety Class

This class will guide you through basics of welding and safe use of the tools in The Foundry's Metalshop (MIG welder, plasma cutter, rollers and grinders). You will work on making a small momento to take home as you learn the metal shop skills. Upon completion of this orientation - and with a donation to The Foundry as a supporter, you're eligible to use our makerspaces during Open Maker Hours. NOTE: Long Sleeves, long pants and closed-toed shoes are required for safety in this shop. No Shorts or Flip Flops! Natural fibers are best as synthetics can melt.

Class Cost: $75 (materials fee included)

Class Size: Min 4/ Max 6

This class needs to meet the minimum enrollment in order to run. Participants will be notified of cancellation on Monday prior to the first session. In case of cancellation, participants can choose another scheduled date if available or request a refund.
