Named after the mortal who, in a bold move, stole the fire from the gods, was newly forged from battle worn metal in late 2023.
Vadim V., Bart D. and Andy V., crossed paths with Matthias H. and embryonic versions of what would become the first songs were written. After a short-lived line-up with Tim J. on drums, Pepijn ‘Pino’ DR was welcomed to the fold. All the pieces fell into place and more material was written.
Lyrically, dealing with end-of-days antics, nudges to the 1979 sci-fi masterpiece and exploring the human failure to maintain a liveable world, songs took form.
The shared past in both hardcore & metal underground scenes breeds an interesting hybrid of death/black’n roll. Focussing on heavy-hearted melancholic melodies, loaded with hooks to tear your soul apart. Driven by a roaring mid-paced rhythm section, riffs that cling to the eardrums, glued together by a menacing throat.
Paying tribute to the glorious 90’s metal years, PROMETHEAN delivers powerful, compact songs, brought with 20+ years of experience in bands like LIAR, THURISAZ, DECONSECRATE, SEKTOR, RDS220, YOUR GOD IS DEAD and so on.
Taking the stage from 2025 on, a force that will only be growing.

Though they began life in 2011, the Belgian post-metal group Stories From The Lost continues today as a much different beast than the one that debuted with For Clouds.
Originally working from an instrumental template, the band folded a focus on electronic sounds into their metal foundations. While the electronics remain an integral piece of the puzzle, the band spent years focusing on crafting and honing their punishing brand of doom-laden post-metal.
Sonically, 2024's “POSTHUMAN” furthers the band’s exploration of the darkest depths, building oppressive atmosphere with powerful vocals that range from piercing howls to funereal bellows, unyieldingly fierce riffs, muscular percussion, and ever-present disquieting electronics.

Dark, heavy, and relentless — Growing Horns celebrates ten years of sludge metal this year with a new record. Over the past decade, the band has built an ironclad live reputation and made a strong impression at the Alcatraz festival.
Growing Horns pairs slow, scorching riffs with a dystopian view of the world. On their first record, the track 2084 already cast a razor-sharp eye on how we blatantly ignored Orwell’s warnings. They push that line mercilessly forward on their second album.
Ten years of doom. Ten years of fury. Growing Horns is not the soundtrack to the apocalypse — it’s the alarm that comes before it.
