Comprising almost half of the world’s insect population, the diverse order of beetles is distinguished by a hard front pair of wings, which serve as protective sheaths for their more delicate rear flying wings. In this 1.5 hour class, students will be introduced to the processes of hydrating, spreading, pinning and preserving their provided beetle. This intellectually stimulating, hands-on entomological experience is perfect for both seasoned insect enthusiasts and curious beginners!
