Metal Shop 102 Tool Training

This class will introduce students to the fundamentals of fabrication, including the safe operation of Technocopia's MIG Welders and plasma torch.

Students must have previouslycompleted the Metal Shop 101 class before taking this course.

• Participants should bring close-toed shoes (work shoes are preferred, and non-synthetic materials preferred), ensure that the laces are not frayed. Wear clothes that are sturdy and flame-resistant (e.g. denim, cotton). Synthetic fibers (e.g. polyester) pose a personal hazard in the welding shop environment. Jeans and long sleeved shirt would be appropriate. Ensure that your clothing does not have frayed edges (e.g. around the cuffs of your pants).
• Successful completion of this course will result in certification of Technocopia members to independently use the tools directly covered in the course.
