Metal for Your Mental Health is a 501c3 non-profit that supports pre-teens, teens, and transitional age youth with their mental health needs through combining evidence-based traditional talk therapy practices with their interests in metal and similar music. Therapists who also have a passion for music will utilize the shared interest for the purpose of rapport building and utilizing the strengths and values found within the metal genre: empowerment, community, self-expression, open-mindedness, emotional regulation, and commitment to values.
