Metairie Road St. Patrick's Day parade 2024

The St. Patrick's Day Metairie Road Parade is a family-friendly parade that takes place on Metairie Road in Old Metairie. The parade was founded in 1971 and features over 100 floats, trucks, bands, marching clubs and throws. The parade is considered one of the top ten best and largest St. Patrick's Day Parades in the United States

It proudly present a parade of over 100 floats trucks bands marching clubs and all the throws you can get your hands on. Rolling down Severn from West Napolean onto Metairie Road all the way to the railroad tracks, we're the only parade to continue the rich tradition of the original Metairie parade route down Metairie Road.

Come bring the kids and the entire family and may the luck of the Irish be with you.

Parade Details

• Start at 12:00 noon from 41st Street and Severn 
• Proceeding south on Severn and turning left on Metairie Road 
• Traveling Metairie Road and taking left turn on Focis Street
• Traveling Focis Street to Canal Street, where it will disband
