Join us on Sunday, October 18th as we commemorate the anniversary of the martyrdom of Blessed Jerzy Popiełuszko – the courageous Polish priest who gave his life for truth and freedom under Communist rule. The evening opens with a moving presentation of an authentic banner from the Solidarity movement which took down Polish communism, and to which Fr. Popiełuszko was the chaplain. We will then screen “Messenger of the Truth,” a film chronicling the life, ministry, and sacrifice of this modern martyr. The evening concludes with a special Q&A with Grazyna Czerny, one of the leaders of the Solidarity movement, who will share firsthand memories and reflections on that historic era of faith and resistance.
