Join #sacityofgastronomy for “Mes del Maíz: Masa to Mesa,” a special hands-on workshop on the history and cultural tradition of nixtamal! Create your own masa magic as we learn about nixtamal's rich history and the beauty of heirloom corns.
During the event, you will cook alongside San Antonio’s own Chef Johnny Hernández, who hosts this event.
The event takes place Saturday, May 21, 2022 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Cost is $50 per participants with proceeds benefitting Kitchen Campus, a nonprofit organization established in 2014 by Chef Johnny Hernandez with a mission to connect youth to culinary opportunities through education and advocacy.
