About this Event

Flashband is ringing in the holiday season with our very first metal showcase! On Dec. 14th, get ready to face-melt by the fireside and jingle all the way with Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Motley Crue, Metallica, Slayer, Ozzy Osbourne, Alice in Chains, System of a Down, and so many more, across all the subgenres your precious metalhead can take. And for extra festive fun, each band will "metallicize" a holiday song – either playing an existing metal holiday cover or your own original arrangement! Let's turn Songbyrd into a true tinseltown and thrash 2024 out in style.

How the lottery works

Register for a spot in the lottery between 12-1pm ET on Friday, 11/1

Once you've completed your purchase, you'll receive an automated email from Eventbrite verifying your lottery spot. This does not confirm your participation in Flashband.
After the lottery is closed, you'll get a follow-up email from the Flashband Director with more details on what to expect.
On Monday, you'll receive an email with your status and next steps:

>> Participants (performers) will get a Welcome and Jam Prep email. This tells you all you need to know about the Meet & Greet Jam on Sunday 11/10 and how to prepare. You'll have 48 hours to notify the Director if you can't participate.

>> Waitlisters will get a Waitlist email. Waitlisters will be contacted by the Director if a slot becomes available, and will be refunded after the showcase if they do not come off the waitlist. Waitlisters do not attend the jam. More details in FAQs at www.flashbanddc.com.

Requirements: You must be available for the jam date and the showcase date to participate. Read more in our FAQs.
