MerLady Frolick

That's right ladies, time to Frolic again, and again, and again!

We want to create a space for women to come together and snorkel/freedive/frolic with an inviting and empowering community. Join us every Second Saturday this summer to meet new lady dive buddies, find comfort in the water, have a few laughs, and of course #justgetwet ;)

Unless stated otherwise: (See lower update for July 10th)

We will meet at Kellogg Park, look for the large DiveViz canopy tent and a plethora of floaties. From there we will kick out of La Jolla Shores, meander through the Marine Room, search for leopard sharks and draw attention with said floaties and our badass merlady vibes! We'll meet at 8am, may have to consume a few donuts or something for sustenance, and then can go out as one large group or split off in smaller groups depending on the amount of women who roll through. Our aim is to be finishing up at around noon. Note, this summer is going to be a busy one, so do not hesitate to come early to avoid excessive parking spot searching.

UPDATE FOR JULY 10TH MERLADY MEETUP:

WE'RE GOING FLOATOPIA STATUS!!!

That's right, we are mixing it up. After conversing with the last group of frolicers it was decided that we should expand, think bigger, think longer & think more floaties! So we are doing a full day ladies meetup at Mission Bay, right behind our Just Get Wet Headquarters, with a floatopia theme... meaning we gonna float those waters on our favorite floaties all day!!! SO EXCITE! We will post up with our DiveViz canopy tent on the shore and just have people hang and float and cause fun havoc through the day.

We are doing potluck style lunch for this and BYOB. So bring your fave snack or dish to share, some drinks, and lets think reusable ladies: please bring your own reusable cutlery and plate so that we aren't creating a ton of waste.

Time: 11am - 12pm

Location: Santa Clara Point - Northern Bay

Yes we know this kind of defeats the snorkeling premise of the meetup, but we really want to create a fun and inviting environment for females of all sorts to come through and get involved. We figured the Bay and a float party is a great way to include any lady out there, as well this welcomes new females into the group to meet other ocean lovers and find female friends to head out to the ocean and feel comfortable diving with. Personally we have a ton of lady friends who want to come out with us but are intimidated by the ocean, so this is a cool event to get all those ocean shy ladies involved and hopefully entice them into the seas at a later date! ;)

What to Bring?

- Yourself and your favorite ocean loving babes

- Dive gear - you're not required anything specific, what you have (or don't have) will do just fine! (Not needed for floatopia on July 10th)

- Water, sunscreen, towel, GoPro... those kind of things

- Bevies (aka dranks)

- Snacks or dish to share for putluck (July 10th Floatopia)

- Reusable cutlery/plate

- Floaties!!!
