About this Event

Join the Lord Mayor of Chester in raising the Merchant Navy Flag to thank our Merchant Navy seafarers .

The Merchant Navy Flag will be raised at 10 am, accompanied by an one-minute silence in remembrance of those who have lost their lives or have been injured in the line of duty.

Please arrive at Chester Town Hall for 09.45am.

Dress code: Medals, robes and uniforms may be worn. As this is an outdoor ceremony, please dress for the weather.

We politely request that you bring only a small bag.

Tea, coffee and biscuits will be served in the Town Hall following the ceremony.
