About this Event

This course is intended for learners who want to develop their mentoring skills and will empower you with the ability to motivate others.

This interactive course covers the following topics:

• What is a mentor

• How to plan mentoring sessions

• Creating a mentoring action plan

• Continual development

Upon completion of this course you will be able to;

• Define the principle of mentoring

• Describe the key qualities, values and skills of a mentor

• Give examples of where they can be applied

• Identify self-developments needs in order to meet the qualities and skills of a mentor

• Give examples of how life events might influence a persons identity, views and behaviour towards other people

• Explain why it is important to be non-judgemental of others

*NB* The training will take place over 2 sessions in person on Wednesday 7th September, & 14th September, 1pm - 4pm.

Eligibility:

This programme is open to people living and working in the Liverpool City Region (Liverpool, Sefton, Knowsley, Wirral, St Helens, or Halton)
