About this Event
Sleep quality declines as we age, and the likelihood of a sleep disorder also increases. However, sleep disorders are much more common in people living with dementia.
This presentation will explore how sleep changes as we age, and how it might be linked to changes in our memory and brain function.
About the presenter
Dr Nathan Cross is an early career researcher with a PhD in Psychology from the University of Sydney. He is a sleep neuroscientist focusing on the role of sleep for maintaining cognitive health, leveraging EEG, MRI, neuropsychology and sleep medicine. His work has covered multiple sleep disorders including obstructive sleep apnoea, insomnia, hypersomnia and narcolepsy.
