Join us for a comprehensive, full-day Mental Health Crisis Training designed to equip attendees with the skills and tools needed to effectively support individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. This interactive workshop features sessions led by licensed professionals and individuals with lived experience, providing unique insights and practical strategies.
Agenda Highlights:
- Welcome & Overview (8:00 AM - 8:15 AM): Introduction by Torri Shack & Sara Clow
- Mental Health Insights (8:15 AM - 10:00 AM): Dr. Pebbles provides an in-depth look at mental health conditions and key intervention strategies.
- Morning Break (10:00 AM - 10:15 AM)
- Mental Health Insights Continued (10:15 AM - 11:00 AM): April Lang-Barroga, LMFT, LCADC, NCC, shares additional insights and real-life applications.
- Suicide Prevention Training (11:00 AM - 12:00 PM): Torri Shack covers essential tools for identifying and supporting individuals at risk of suicide.
- Lunch Break (12:00 PM - 1:15 PM)
- DEIB Panel Discussion (1:15 PM - 2:15 PM): A discussion led by Sara Clow with a diverse panel of individuals with lived experience, exploring the intersection of cultural diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in mental health.
- Burnout & Compassion Fatigue (2:15 PM - 3:30 PM): Ginger Howell addresses the signs of burnout and compassion fatigue, along with strategies for recovery and self-care.
- Afternoon Break (3:30 PM - 3:45 PM)
- Resiliency Training (3:45 PM - 4:30 PM): Learn effective strategies for building personal and professional resilience, presented by Sara Clow.
- Closing Remarks & Certificates (4:30 PM - 5:00 PM): Wrap-up, evaluations, and distribution of CEU certificates.
