Catholic men of all ages, particularly those in mid-career, are invited to join us in the rectory chapel of Saint Alphonsus Parish for chanted Vespers (AKA evening prayer) of the Divinum Officium (AKA Liturgy of the Hours) using the Mundelein Psalter. The evening offers a reflection on the forthcoming Sunday’s Gospel by a member of the community, and concludes with a nightcap in the rectory hall.
The goal of the group is to encourage and promote the personal practice of the Divine Office, to develop and foster preaching skills among the membership, and to strengthen the community associations and commitments among Catholic men at both the local and universal level.
Please enter the RECTORY at the rectory kitchen door, on the west end of the rectory building (between the rectory and school). The chapel is on the second floor.
