MCMS is proud to welcome back Board Director, Nacchal Nachiappan, MD, for a second year as our featured presenter for "Menopause Made Simple: What Every Physician Needs to Know." Physicians and medical professionals come join us for a 1-hour CME event focused on the latest clinical guidance and practical strategies for managing menopause. This session will provide physicians and professionals with evidence-based approaches to diagnosing, counseling, and treating menopausal symptoms while addressing patient safety, individualized care, and emerging therapies.
This event will be hybrid: both in-person at our MCMS Conference Room and live streamed through Zoom. MCMS will provide light refreshments for those attending in-person and a Zoom link the day before the event for those attending virtually. MCMS members can attend for FREE and non-members can attend for a nominal fee of $20.
Learning Objectives:
-At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:
-Identify common clinical presentations of perimenopause and menopause
-Evaluate risks and benefits of hormone therapy and non-hormonal options
-Apply evidence-based treatment strategies for vasomotor, sleep, and mood symptoms
-Counsel patients on long-term health considerations including bone, cardiovascular, and metabolic health
-Implement individualized care plans based on patient history and risk factors

Learn More About Dr. Nachiappan:
Nacchal Nachiappan, MD has been in practice since 2010 after receiving training at Cornell University, SUNY Upstate Medical University and UC Irvine. She has been part of Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and has received teaching awards after being faculty at Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine and University of Arizona – College of Medicine Phoenix.
Dr. Nachiappan's diverse training and work experience includes being a hospitalist, primary care physician, telehealth physician for remote clinics, medication-assisted treatment for opioid use disorder and whole health training and practice to include auricular acupuncture and complementary therapies.
