Menopause Cafe at Lichfield Cathedral

As part of 'Reframing Menopause: Wisdom from the Waves' at Lichfield Cathedral, Menopause Cafe has been invited to join the programme of events.
On Wednesday 12th August, Samantha Jones will be hosting a Menopause Cafe at the cathedral. Everyone is welcome to attend, and whilst there is no entry fee, any donations towards the Menopause Cafe Charity would be welcome.
Wisdom from the Waves is a three-day programme in August exploring a remarkable connection between whales and humans — two of the very few species known to experience menopause. In whale communities, older females play a vital role as carriers of knowledge, care and leadership. Inspired by this powerful parallel, the programme reflects on perimenopause, menopause and beyond as a season of wisdom, contribution and shared experience.
Come along for an open, friendly chat about all things menopause. No experience required! Menopause Cafe welcomes everyone, no matter your age, gender, or background. Whether you're curious, seeking support for yourself, or hoping to better understand and help friends, family, or colleagues, you'll find a safe, inclusive space here. Bring your questions, stories, or just your curiosity - there's no set agenda, and all voices are valued.
Menopause Cafes are held:
- with no intention of leading participants to any conclusion, product or course of action.
- as an open, respectful and confidential space where people can express their views safely.
- on a not for profit basis.
- alongside refreshing drinks and nourishing food – and cake!
The cafe duration is for 2-hours. You can drop in anytime and stay for as long or little as you like.
