Mending Circle [Makerspace Special Event]

Sagging hems? Popped seams? Dangling or missing buttons? Don't toss those items, they can usually be fixed. Come watch the transformation from broken to beautiful.

Barbara will happily show you how to fix this yourself, or she will make the necessary repairs to make those old things usable again.

One exception - zippers! If you have broken zippers, plan to take them to a local dry cleaner for repair. Barbara doesn't even do her own zipper replacement.

Barbara Raymond has been a seamstress for over 50 years, and sewed professionally BT (before toddlers). She has made everything from doll clothes to wedding gowns, but still finds the ability to repair a much loved garment satisfying and environmentally sound.
